Many Stephenson Design Collective clients are new to custom architectural projects, so we seek to make the discovery process as easy as possible. We email a questionnaire that helps identify your ideal spacial and lifestyle requirements, as well as building material preferences and dislikes. We answer questions and outline goals at an introductory meeting at our offices and encourage clients to share images of their favorite houses and design elements.
If you do not already have a lot, we can connect you with a reliable real estate agent. Once a lot is secured, we order a survey and layout the site. An application is sent to the city and we begin schematic design. Elemental Design is known for its tireless communication with clients to ensure the delivery of an ideal home. 3D modeling and conceptual meetings allow the project to transfer smoothly into the design development phase, when structural engineering begins. Permits are readied and plans are submitted to the city for review. During the review period, we meet with you to further discuss interior specifications and secure a preferred contractor. Once a building permit is issued, construction commences. Stephenson Design Collective is always on-site weekly until the moment you move into your modern home.
